Three Anthracite CC fighters are slated to test their skills in the upcoming event Premier Cage Fight 3. The show is scheduled for Saturday September 18th.  The event will be hosted at the Hamburg Field House in Berks Co.

First to compete will be newcomer Gino Yourey.  The ACC teammate has been working hard on developing his combat skills for the past two years.  Having just turned eighteen Gino is ready for his MMA debute. Gino is matched against another eighteen year old MMA fighter by the name of Matt Doran.  This appears to be a great match up we look forward to Gino's first competition.

The second ACC fighter to compete will be Jim Gerner.  Jim comes into the bout with a 1 and 1 record and looks to improve on this.  Jim will be facing Aaron Dugan in the 155lb weight division.

Anthracite Combat Club team member Jim Bova will be competing in Pain on Penn Street II on December 4th. The event is a hybrid MMA/Boxing event that features talented mixed martial artists and boxers. The event takes place on Dec. 4th at the Sovereign Center in Reading, PA. This event has been postponed because an opponent could not be secured for the main event against Jim Bova of Anthracite Combat Club. The fight is rescheduled for December 4th.

Pat Paulo and Don Koch will be fighting on Permier Cage Fighting card titled "The Beginning". The show is scheduled for August 28th, 2009. The venue will be in the Hamburg Field House with doors opening at 6:30p.m. General Admission tickets are priced at $30 each but for a limited time General Admission can be purchased for $25 each up until Aug. 15, 2009. Jim Bova is slated to fight Nabih Barakat ( Team Serra/Longo ) on June 12th in Ring of Combat XXV. The event will take place at the Tropicana Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, NJ. The doors open at 7:30 and the first fight begins at 8:00.

Pat Paulo and Nat Hasara will build upon the experience they've gained as Anthracite fighters this weekend at Fort Dix. Additionally, Don Koch, a new and welcome addition to the team, will be testing his skills as an Anthracite fighter. Both Nat Hasara and Don Koch will be fighting for an Asylum Fight League title. Fighters Pat Paulo(0-0-1), Nat Hasara(0-0-0) are slated to fight this weekend in the 1st and 10th amateur bouts of the night, respectively. Pat Paulo will face off against Tim Boda in a 145 pound 3 round matchup. Nat Hasara will be making his MMA debut against Justin Flannery. Jeremiah Gaffney's fight has been cancelled.

Tonight at the Club Abyss in NJ, Jeremiah "Yetti" Gaffney makes his third appearance in the cage. The Yetti will face off with Rhino Fight Team member Chris Venneri. Yetti has ripped off two victories in the past month and plans on continuing his winning ways. Two more first timers for Anthracite CC make the MMA debut tonight. The Asylum Fight League has turned out to be a first class event and a great place to gain experience. ACC fighter Jim "Flex" Gerner squares off against Francis Alfonso in the eleventh scheduled fight of the night.
